so while i have been giving birth, and my sister, rachel l., has been playing catch up on her quilt squares...our dear mother completed two betty stars on our behalf. she is a good mom and a very skilled sewer so these might be the best blocks sent out by myself and rachel l. i'll try to have them in the mail today or tomorrow!

I hope the red and yellow aren't too bright, they reminded me of the sun hitting the leaves of the trees. And, I couldn't find other fabric that I really liked.
